BaseKGGet in touch

A knowledge graph for your own subject

If you need one, the method behind BaseKG can build it, with the same quality table: every accuracy figure with a sample checked by hand behind it, and UNMEASURED where nobody has checked.

We're open to partnering on new subjects, or to helping build a graph over your own material. A reviewed sample of the graph is available to evaluators on request, under a license agreement.

An example: music

A music layer on top of BaseKG: 29,109 entities and 53,778 facts about who performed a recording, who wrote it, who produced it and which label released it, joined onto the graph by entity id. 90.1% of its music entities carry at least one fact, and 75.8% carry a music-specific one.

  • Written by Prince: Little Red Corvette, When Doves Cry, Purple Rain, Nothing Compares 2 U.
  • Written by Burt Bacharach: I Say a Little Prayer, Raindrops Keep Fallin' on My Head, (They Long to Be) Close to You.
  • Produced by George Martin: All My Loving, Long Tall Sally, Yer Blues.
  • Performed by Miles Davis: Milestones, Miles Ahead, Porgy and Bess, Tutu.

The facts come from Wikidata, and MusicBrainz records most of the same ones. The two copy each other, so that is agreement, not proof.

It ships runnable SQL. This one is from its own notes, against the shipped file:

SELECT o.canonical_label FROM triples t
  JOIN relation_types r ON r.id = t.relation_id
  JOIN entities s ON s.id = t.subject_id
  JOIN entities o ON o.id = t.object_id
 WHERE r.name = 'released_on_label'
   AND s.canonical_label = 'Aretha Franklin';
